Specialized parts and vehicle types may be seriouly delayed due to covid -19 perform services at your own risk of the above. ALL TIMES ARE ESTIMATED NOT EXACT BY CDC MANDATE.. We will advise you of our estimate only at time of service, we cannot force machine shops or parts suppliers to work any faster than they already do or for concerns with shipping due to covid .

 

We cannot change your failing parts attached to your engine or transmission and make them whole again and if you refuse to replace a part that part is your liability.

We have no special knowledge of suppliers' financial condition and no liability for supplier defaults or continuous cleanup time incurred during pandemic. 


First Coast Powertrain's part warranties cover everything from missing, incorrect, or damaged parts to customer returns. We will cover product failure due to defective materials, and we guarantee to replace or repair your defective item, but never refund your purchase price within stated warranty periods below or for your negligence in repairing a issue declined to repair. .We have no duty to pay for your parts that failed and taking the vehicle to another shop without contacting us for warranty arrangements voids warranty and is considered tampering. YOU HAVE A SOVERN DUTY UNDER THIS WARRANTY TO RETURN FOR WARRANTY SERVICE IF YOU BELIEVE THAT A PART HAS FAILED. Limited Warranty and Liability on Used Parts


Our free standard warranty covers all First Coast Powertrain used parts except airbags, seat belt assemblies, and tires for 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first. This covered by yard we purchased from. Not by First Coast Powertrain or Auto pro car care. 


The prices of the extended warranties vary according to each part.


Labor is covered 90 days or 3000 miles and only within the area of Jacksonville Florida. Or shall be covered by our ATRA warranty for transmissions, unless caused by communications issue or bad connection.  Or Racing Abuse and misuse opr the like.


What is not covered?


Part accessories sent with the part for the convenience of installation. Reused parts off your engine or transmission and any wiring or electrical part, unrelated open or shorts in communication systems, cooling system accessories or failure to adhere to proper maintenance and failure in stopping the vehicle when CEL light is on from detonation of poor fuel issues failing emission control parts or overheating, each used engine comes with a heat pop tab that will tell us if the vehicle has overheated and damage has been caused by leak or blown head gasket or overheating. gaskets for this reason are not covered. Damage from failure to check oil, coolant or other fluids daily.

 
Parts applied to the wrong make, model, or year of vehicle for parts that First Coast Powertrain does not specifically state are the correct match for your vehicle. Towing and any incidental or consequential damages or rental is not part of the warranty. 

We do no Performance engine swaps we will not cover any engine that intake or exaust or other components or programming has been modified for recreational, SCCA, Autocross, Turbo engine,Hot roding, Tuner cars or the appearance therof, street racing or the like, that internal parts are covered by manufaturer defect only not abuse and misuse, and the like and the warranty upon finding an engine has had aftermarket enhancements on it is enough causation to void warranty if internal engine or transmission damage occurs or is run at any time at high rpm or encounters a loss of oil pressure or coolant at any time. Anyhting performance related installed on a vehicle will immediately void warranty. 


Airbags, tires, and seat belts, which are sold "as is" and may not be returned.


We cannot inform you if a part will fit any other year/make/model or application. The year, make, and model of the vehicle or part listed on First Coast Powertrain is within a range of interchangeability and may not be the exact year and model as the part or vehicle you input. The only years/makes/models or other applications we guarantee the part will fit are those listed on our website. It is the buyer's responsibility to research and determine whether the items will fit on other vehicles or work in other applications. Any Performance items requested carry no labor warranty and the manufacturers parts warranty if any. 


For Used engine assemblies


Engine warranties are limited to manufacturing defects in the block, heads, pistons, crankshafts, camshafts, rockers, and oil pumps. By the selling yard not Auto pro car care or First coast powertrain. We do not warranty any attached accessory parts, or maintenance items such as gaskets, switches, sensors, cables, electronics, belts, hoses, water pumps, shims and manifolds that are swaped to your purchased used long block. Broken items leaks, or bolts in the swap of parts shall be customers responsibility for repair or extraction. Unless we install these parts new then they carry manufacturers warranty. Some engines are rare and hard to find and have very low stock in the market place if a warranty issue arises then we will incase of closure of a yard or parts supplier or failure of stock we reserve the right to instead rebuild or repair your core or take out engine under our warranty at our sole discresssion for the failed part and gaskets only.Tow, rental and use beyond realm of Duval County is not covered. Failure of head gaskets are not a defect and caused by damage caused by customer.


For transmission assemblies


Transmission warranties are limited to the transmission housing, torque converter (included for automatic transmissions) and all internal components, including gears and shafts. The warranty does not cover any external wiring, seals or leaks (Network issues poor connections or the like) sensors, or other external parts that can be transferred from your current transmission.Tow, rental and use beyond realm of Duval County is not covered. Failure from OEM and aftermarket new electrical parts is not covered and shall be goodwilled on a case by case basis.


For axle assemblies


Warranties on axle assemblies cover the differential and its internal parts, drive axles, wheel bearings, and wheel flanges. We do not warranty against damages that may occur during installation or use of our axle assemblies any existing part of your vehicle to which these parts connect, including your braking system parts, suspension parts, and wheels.Tow, rental and use beyond realm of Duval County is not covered.  Warranties are covered by the selling yard not Auto pro car care or First coast powertrain.

Limited Warranty and Liability on New Aftermarket Auto Parts
 

Our free standard warranty covers FIRST COAST POWERTRAIN new aftermarket auto parts for a period of 1 year from the delivery date of your item by manufacturer. It covers functionality problems that occur with the auto part as a result of manufacturing. It does not cover damage caused by improper installation, by accidents or damage sustained after installation, or by negligence in maintaining the part after installation or ceasing use when leaking or when check engine light is displayed or electrical problems in your wiring or electronics.


FIRST COAST POWERTRAIN is not liable for any damages caused by misuse, incorrect (swap) installation, modification of the product, accidents, neglect, or normal wear.

 

FIRST COAST POWERTRAIN is also not responsible for any labor charges for installation (unless a part was purchased with an additional labor-charge warranty), inconveniences, Shipping time, scheduling to suit the customer. rental or any other expenses that may be related to the installation or use of our parts, regardless if purchased from us or from an independent reseller.


All implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, are limited to the duration of this warranty  twelve months and twelve thousand miles and do not cover incidental or consequential damages. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts or the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which vary from state to state.


Warranty Process


You contact us.

Furnish the ADMINISTRATOR with such information as may reasonably be required.

Allow the ADMINISTRATOR to examine YOUR VEHICLE if asked to do so.

Accept that all repairs must be authorized by the ADMINISTRATOR prior to beginning any repairs covered by this WARRANTY.

follow the recommendations of the warranty, failure to maintain, repair related items or electrical concerns or communication issues failure to repair voids warranty.

Failure to return or repair other components or wiring issures that can damage replacement parts will void warranty.. We may good will at our choice to do so when ensured that other failures will not damage installed components.. Factory oem replacement parts are the liability of the manufacurer and fall on its terms or conditions.. 


We reserve the right to inspect any item prior to replacement.

Warranty limitations


The buyer hereby acknowledges that due to the nature of used auto parts, any liability of First Coast Powertrain for all causes shall be limited to the price paid for the goods sold or provided. If a part sold by First Coast Powertrain under warranty fails to operate, liability shall be limited to the replacement of the part or a remedy not to exceed the price paid for the part, at First Coast Powertrain's option.


All warranties are null and void if ...

you fail to authorize or replace a part so that a vehicle can be test driven.. 


The vehicle is converted from a private passenger use to commercial or fleet use, or is used for racing or other competition or off-road recreational purposes.


Failure is caused by abuse, misuse, or modifications fuel issues caused by detonation or accident or failure to contact us about a leak and the transmission or engine runs out of fluid or oil. Electrical or communication issues cause failure and damage to a part or rebuilt assy. Failure to repair a known issue after advisement removes liability from us for the aforementioned repairs.. 


Failure is caused by using the part for any use other than what was intended or recommended by the manufacturer.

 

Failure to provide maintenance and repairs stated voids warranty..


The part fails or becomes defective due to the vehicle being involved in a collision.


The part is installed or operated outside the United States.


The installed heat tab center is melted or removed.


The part is sold "as is" as indicated on the front of the sales invoice or in a statement of terms on the website.


Labor and installation


FIRST COAST POWERTRAIN is not responsible for injury or damage sustained during or as a result of the installation of our parts.


Regarding replacement engines: timing belts, thermostats, valve shims, spark plugs, fluids, gaskets and seals are routine-maintenance items that should be replaced at the time of the installation of parts related to or dependent upon such items if needed.


The part(s) installer must follow any Recommended Installation Procedures FIRST COAST POWERTRAIN provides to maintain warranty coverage.


This warranty does not cover freight costs time factors in shipping or similar charges.

Some states do not allow limitations on the duration of an implied warranty or the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.

 

Timeframes are not warrantable under this plan we can never give you any parts or repair warranty times other than an estimate, we are not responsible to you for incidental or consequential damages due to a covered event. As a customer service we will make every attempt as satisfiying the need of getting your car back timely but this can nor will be ever guaranteed. This is especially true for hard to find engines and transmission parts that are rarely at all available. Some engines are rare and hard to find and have very low stock in the market place if a warranty issue arises then we will incase of closure of a yard or parts supplier or failure of stock we reserve the right to instead rebuild or repair your core or take out engine under our warranty at our sole discresssion for the failed part and gaskets only. Timeframes on these items can never be assumed as they are rare, Toyota Tundra 4.7 and 5.7 and Mercedes and BMW engines are especially prone to this, any Tow, rental and use beyond realm of Duval County is not covered. Failure of head gasket's are not a defect and caused by damage caused by customer. Valve adjustments are a maintained item and are never covered. 

Labor is covered 90 days or 3000 miles and only within the area of Jacksonville Florida. Or shall be covered by our ATRA warranty for transmissions, Electrical failures are not covered if caused by other components failed to be repaired or replaced on your vehicle.. Communication electrical issues are not covered as they damage (Burn) engine valves and cause issues (slipping) form non application in transmissions and are the customers responsibility.. 

 

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which may vary from state to state.
 

EXCLUSIONS:

    1. Breakdown or failure of any listed covered component prior to warranty benefit activation is not covered.

    2. Any and all claims or damage resulting from:Autocross, modifications , turbo failure,  abuse, negligence, freezing, overheating of any type, failure to maintain proper coolant, fluid, refrigerant, or lubrication levels, personal damages, per diem expenses, storage fees, medical expenses, telephone or rental charges, fire, flood, vandalism, theft, collision, acts of GOD, competition or racing, usages not approved by the vehicle manufacturer, improper load capacity, or improper towing, damages caused by contaminated fluids, coolants, or lubricants for any reason, misuse, road conditions, riots or acts of war.  Excessive oil consumption and diminished performance are not covered.  Leaking seals, gaskets or fittings are not covered.  Vehicle components that require normal manufacturer’s recommended replacement intervals are not covered.  Benefits are not active until all applicable fees or installment payment plan confirmation has been received by the administrator. Benefits are not active until the customer calls to activate warranty

    3. Pre-existing conditions and problems that occur prior to the benefit activation date and mileage are not covered.  Covered components that are worn or burned but NOT broken are not covered.  Broken covered components are defined as components that have cracked or separated into pieces.  Covered components that are flaking or have been damaged by excessive heat or scoring are not covered.

    4. Shorted batteries cause many fialures in electical components you are responsibble for any damage from your shorted or suphated battery. 

    5. Any component not listed as a covered component, is not covered.  Damage to a covered component due to non covered component failure is not covered.

    6. Incidental and consequential damages are not covered.

    7. Vehicles with: a non-functioning odometer, a diesel engine manufactured before 1990, a rotary engine, Turbo engiines, alterations not approved by the manufacturer including, but not limited to, oversized or undersized tires and lift kits, and vehicles used for commercial purposes are not eligible for coverage under this product warranty.

    8. Claims occurring outside the United States are not covered.

    9. Once a claim has been initiated, the purchaser may not continue to operate the vehicle until a claim decision has been made. Continued operation will void the claim.

    10. Any work or repair done to vehicle without prior written authorization from administrator is not considered an authorized claim.

    11. Warranty will void if the part is used for racing or the like for abuse and misuse,is  operated at high RPM ( 3000 RPM or higher without proper fluids, or a melted heat tab.

    12. Freight is not paid under this contract on any parts or engine claims.

    13. Towing & diagnostic charges are not paid under this contract.

    14. Breakdown or failure means totally inoperable.  It does not mean a decrease or gradual reduction in the parts performance due to normal or abnormal wear and tear.

    15. Breakdown caused by mechanical alterations not meeting manufacturer’s specifications.

    16. Breakdowns covered by factory recall.

    17. Any covered part which is not broken or inoperable, which a repair facility recommends or required to be repaired or replaced.

    18. Breakdowns to a covered part already replaced under the contract.

    19. Liability for tear down is the customer’s responsibility.

    20. Defective parts must be made available for inspection upon the claims administrator’s request.

    21. Breakdown caused by excessive wear and tear for the year and mileage of vehicle are not covered under this contract.

    22. Warranty is voided if heat tab is melted, or if engine has no heat tab at time of claim.

    23. Breakdowns covered by manufacturer warranty or recall, distributor or repairers guarantee, any other written warranty, government or court orders, decrees or settlements, or any valid or collectable insurance policy.

    24. Improper engine installation.

    25. We do not warranty oil leaks/damage on engines or transmissions due to non replaced seals, gaskets or filters.

    26. Your accessories and damage that may or has occurred is your responsibility.. 

    27. This is a standard warranty that we derived from LKQ and GO and other national yards to ensure our warranty reflected theirs and as such is industry standard for used engines transmissions and rebuilt or remanufactured engines as of effective date any changes will be reflected as updated.
